Reviews
We were a group of five having lunch. The service was great and the food even better, perfectly presented. Excellent wine selection.
We went for the last week of the White Troffle season and enjoyed two very good plates with tartufo.
Amazing service and food! We were at La Libera with a group of ten people, and we were seated in a private room that made the experience even more special.
Thank you for a delicious meal!
Stop looking for a restaurant! You've already found it.
We were recommended this restaurant by a local store and walked here from the centre of alba (about 5 mins walk).
We were greeted with amazing service, happy to rearrange tables for our party of 5. Shortly after we were brought grissini, bread, oil, water, cherries.... Already a good sign.
Our meals were a veal tartare (light, fresh and tasty), a veal cheek (beyond soft, you don't need a fork...) Served on very fine buttery potato mash, and a tortellini, I didn't try it but my brother in law was happy.
Desserts were also very tasty, all meals were very fresh.. they show a lot of technique in the kitchen.
I will make sure to stop by here every trip to Alba. Enjoy!
La Libera has great service, amazing owners, a progressive chef who is creative and has a great sense of balance within his food which is constantly evolving. The wine list is fair and large as well.
Very nice restaurant, modern interior. Traditional italian food with a modern twist. I had cold fish (ao squid, shrimp) with patato mash, very tasty. My husband had veal tongue with sweet/sour veggies. The primo was a sort of green pees soup with cod. Also very good. We shared a chocolate moelleux with hazelnutt icecream. To die for! Nice winelist, good service.
Service excellent. Friendly people.
Food unbelievably good.
Best meal we have had in Alba.
And wonderful wine too.
We booked a table which they didn’t safe on the system and we had to wait one hour and 15 minutes to be seated. The service was ok, friendly people. I ordered a plate that said had a side of smashed potatoes and got polenta. Not even an excuse. For the dessert my partner’s dessert was extremely hard, for what they accepted that was not properly tempered ( to short time out of the fridge). Personally it enfuriates me to book on a place that’s on the Michelin list and get such a miriad of mistakes and careless for details. Overrated and overpriced for the experience we took with us. Was supposed to be the highlight of the autumn vacations and instead became a frustrating experience. Would definitely think twice to recommend this place and/ or place it on the level of the Michelin list.
